GREENSBORO
- The newly-constructed North Carolina
A&T Aggie Stadium Skybox had its grand opening. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was
held for the Aggie Stadium Skybox on Wednesday. A&T dignitaries, fans,
alumni, faculty and staff and the media gathered to take a tour of A&T's latest
achievement.
"The opening of our new Aggie Stadium Skybox is
another groundbreaking accomplishment in the growth of North Carolina A&T
Athletics," said Earl Hilton, A&T's Director of Athletics. "The new skybox
makes for a better work environment for the A&T staff and media who work
our football games and track meets. It also provides our department with more
meeting space. In addition, the suites give us an opportunity to raise more
revenue for athletics."
The new skybox adds to the beautiful skyline of
North Carolina A&T State University. It is located on the North side of
campus, where it will serve as the main entrance into Aggie Stadium. The box
stands six stories high with two towers to complement it on each side. The left
tower consists of an ADA compliant hydraulic elevator, which will comfortably
take occupants to their destination. An emergency exit stairwell is on the
right side.
