2014 Season: Started all 12 games …Made 62 tackles with 46 of those tackles unassisted…Made five interceptions and had 16 passes defended…Also returned 14 kickoffs for 360 yards (25.7 per return) and a touchdown…Ranked 13th nationally in passes defended (1.3 per game) and 15th in interceptions (0.4 per game)…Ranked second in the conference in interception (behind teammate Donald Mattocks) and passes defended…Ranked fourth in the nation in kickoff return TDs…Returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown in a 47-13 win over Alabama A&M in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Orlando, Fla…Recorded career-highs in tackles (9) and passes defended (5) in a 17-12 win at Elon on Sept. 13…Had two pass defenses, including an interception return for 18 yards in a 59-0 win over Chowan on Sept. 20…Had an interception return for 43 yards and had a kickoff return of 50 yards in a 40-21 win over Florida A&M at Aggie Stadium…Had 122 all-purpose yards in the game.
2013 Season: Played in 11 games with one start…Made 11 solo tackles and two assisted tackles…Made one interception and had two pass breakups for three passes defended on the season…Also returned 18 kickoffs for 446 and a touchdown…Made four solo and a pass breakup in the Aggies 24-21 upset win over Appalachian State on Sept. 7…In the same game, he also returned a kickoff 91 yards in the first quarter to tie the game at 7…Returned a kickoff 55 yards against Elon on Sept. 14 to set up a 38-yard field goal by Cody Jones that gave A&T a 16-3 to open the third quarter.
2012 Season: Played in 11 games with three starts…Made 14 solo and nine assisted tackles for a total of 23…Also had four passes defended and a recovered fumble…Made three starts at left cornerback to replace Ayodeji Olatoye who had to play free safety in place of an injured Isaiah Martin…Ranked fourth among Aggie defensive backs in tackles during the season…Made his first career start at Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 6…Broke up two passes in the Aggies’ 38-10 win over Howard on Oct. 13…Made five tackles, all assisted, and had one pass breakup in the Aggies 24-12 loss…Also had a start against Florida A&M on Nov. 3, where he made six tackles, all solo, in the Aggies’ 16-3 win.
High School: Led his team to a 15-0 record and a No. 1 ranking in the state (N.C.) and the Class 4A Championship title...McRae ran for 96 yards and three touchdowns in the title game against New Bern High School....Earned honorable mention all-conference honors...Named to the 2011 All-Cape Fear Region team by the Fayetteville Observer.
