Maris joined the Aggies as a walk-on in 2012, and looks to have another strong season in 2013…Looks to help add to the A&T offense this season and will provide depth at the right-side position…Has a tremendous work ethic and she is a competitor with a fluid arm swing…Brings plenty of energy to the court.
2012 Season: Played in 29 matches over 90 sets without a start…Totaled 114 digs, nine kills, five assists, 10 service aces and a block…Ended the year with 19.5 points…Had a season-best three kills and season-high 3.0 points on Sept. 8 in a match against UNC Asheville…Made a season-high 13 attacks on Sept. 14 against Winthrop…Recorded a season-best 17 digs against Mercer on Sept. 15, helping the Aggies to set a new single-match digs record with 106…It was her only double-figure digs match of the year…Had two service aces on Sept. 7 against American and on Oct. 14 in the win at Savannah State…Led the team in digs with eight on Aug. 31 against Coppin State.
High School: Played two varsity seasons at Father Ryan...Was All-Mid-State, All-Region and third-team All-State after compiling 343 kills, 291 digs, 34 service aces and 229 blocks as a senior...Competed with the Club West volleyball club, and was instrumental in Club West winning first place in the 2011 Club West Classic Invitational and third place in the K2 Elite Invitational...Competed with the Nashville One volleyball club from 2009-10...Also competed in club volleyball in 2007 and '08...Played on the Father Ryan freshman and junior varsity basketball teams.
