Scouting Report:
The Aggies are 4-19 lifetime against the Fighting Camels. The two teams will meet in the second match
of a double-header on Saturday. Campbell
returns four starters to this year's team.
The Camels finished the 2011 season with a 13-18 record. Leading the way for the Camels offensively is
sophomore outside hitter Jessica Groen, who has 128 kills and a 2.38 kills per
set average.
Heading
Back to Moore Gym: The Aggies will be making Moore Gymnasium
their new home on Sunday, following the completion of renovations to the
facility. The repainted floor has
markings for multiple courts, which will enable the A&T volleyball team to
utilize more than one court during practice.
Moving to Moore Gymnasium not only gives the volleyball team their own
space on campus, but also provides them with a more intimate atmosphere.
Freshmen
Get In On The Action: The Aggies welcomed seven new freshmen
to the team this year, and each has gotten quality playing time this season. Currently,
a freshman leads the team in kills (113-Brooke Stamnes), service aces
(26--Brooke Stamnes), digs (202--Ashley Johnson) and points (147.5--Brooke
Stamnes). The Aggies will look to
continue to develop their young squad this season.
