2012 Season: Competed in five meets...Helped the Aggies finish in fourth place at the MEAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships by finishing in 15th place with a personal-best 26:31.43...It was the Aggies best finish in 17 years...Placed 16th at the 8k Christopher Newport Invitational on Oct. 13 with a time of 26:36.85...Finished the 8k Hagan Stone Invitational in 27:35.32 for an eighth place finish on Oct. 8...Finished the 8k Great American Cross Country Festival in Cary, N.C., in 26:56 for a seventh place finish on Sept. 29.

 

 High School: Competed at Hertford County High School for four seasons under Scott Privott, Wallace Johnson and Ronald Gatling...Helped Hertford win the North Carolina Class 3A state championship twice in track and field...Hertford also won the 3A cross country championship in 2010...Won an individual conference championship six times...Won the North Carolina Watermelon High School 5k Festival...Was a Down Under Cross Country Championship selection for team USA.

Personal: Full name is Saeed Kris Jones...He is the son of Mark and Althea Jones...Has one sibling, Shakir and was born on March 10, 1993...Majors in civil engineering and plans to study and encourage green sustainable engineering practices...Enjoys writing, graphics and design and art...His goal is to touch one person at a time until he's helped everyone who will accept it...Academically, he is a part of the North Carolina A&T honors program and Toastmasters, a non-profit organization developing public speaking and leadership skills through practice and feedback in local clubs.
