Had a great debut season as an Aggie after transferring from Daytona State…Served as the Aggies designated hitter for most of the season, serving as a valuable part of the A&T offense…Could see more action in the field this season as a first baseman…Named to the Dean’s List in 2012.

2013 Season:  Started in 53 games in his first season as an Aggie…Also made six appearances and three starts as a pitcher…Posted a .294 average with 10 doubles, two home runs, 35 RBI and 15 runs scored… Recorded 18 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games…

Ranked third on the team in batting average, hits, and home runs…Was second on the team in RBI…As a pitcher, finished with a  1-1 record and 5.23 ERA with six earned runs on 17 hits, four walks and eight strikeouts in 10.1 innings…Hit safely in  eight straight games from April 24-May 5, batting  .429  with two doubles, a home run and eight RBI in that span…Hit safely in seven straight games from Feb. 15-27…Finished 3-for-4 with an RBI against Gardner-Webb Feb. 27…Accounted for three of the five A&T hits in the doubleheader against Marshall on Feb. 24...Went 4-for-7 with a double and two RBI in two games on March 9 against Binghamton…Went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI on March 13 against Lehigh…Had a  2-for-3 game with a double and two RBI on March 26 against UNC Greensboro…Batted 4-for-9 with a three-run home run and six RBI on April 6 in two games against N.C. Central…Batted 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI at Bethune-Cookman on April 21…Batted 2-for-5 with three RBI on May 15 against Delaware State, helping A&T to a first-round MEAC tournament victory.

2012 Season (Daytona State): Made 14 appearances and posted an 0-1 record for Daytona State…Compiled a 4.30 ERA (11 ER/23.0 IP) and allowed 12 runs on 24 hits…Walked nine and struck out 14…Helped Daytona State earn NJCAA Academic Team of the Year, as the 2012 Falcons posted a team GPA of 3.74.

High School: Played three seasons of varsity baseball at Centreville High School, where he was a two-time all-district and all-region athlete…Was named to the all-Conference and all-State baseball teams as a junior…Was named the League MVP as a senior…Also competed in football and basketball.

Personal: Full name is Cameron Jergens…He is the son of Jeffrey and Elizabeth Jergens…Has three siblings, Taylor, Zach and Hayden… He was born on July 13, 1990…His major is liberal studies…His other interests include fishing, hunting and being on the lake and beach…Spent the summer fishing, working, and playing baseball…His favorite television show is “The Office” and his favorite food is cheeseburgers.
