Became a full-time starter at cornerback in 2016 … Worked as a kickoff returner as well in 2016 … Athletic and tenacious, McCoy has played a significant role on special teams as a tackler … During his career, he has helped the Aggies win two MEAC titles, a Black College National title, an Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl game and in 2016 the Aggies earned an NCAA FCS playoff bid … Lowered his 40-yard dash time from last season by going from a 4.63 to a 4.5 time … Has 28 ½ inch vertical jump and a 9-foot, 1 ½-inch broad jump … In his career, he has 59 tackles (37 unassisted), 16 special team tackles and seven passes defended in 34 games played.

2016 Season: Played in nine games with eight starts … Made 28 tackles (15 unassisted) with four pass breakups … Made six tackles (5 unassisted) in the Aggies upset win over Division I-FBS Kent State on Sept. 10 … The next week against another Division I-FBS school, McCoy had four tackles (3 unassisted) and two pass breakups against Tulsa … Served as a part-time kickoff returner for the Aggies during the 2016 season as well.

2015 Season: Played in 12 games with three starts … Made 18 tackles (15 unassisted) with an interception … Made six tackles while playing on special teams … Made the start and had a solid game in coverage to go along with three unassisted tackles in the Aggies historic 41-34 win over Alcorn State in the inaugural Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl on Dec. 19 … Made four unassisted in the Aggies 24-14 win over Bethune-Cookman including a tackle that resulted in no gain on Oct. 17…Made his second career interception in a 28-10 win over Florida A&M on Oct. 31.

2014 Season: Played in 12 games with no starts…Made 13 tackles (seven unassisted) … Nine of his tackles came on special teams…Had a career-high four tackles against Savannah State in a 41-14 win on Nov. 15…Made his first career interception on Sept. 6 in a 31-30 loss to Coastal Carolina at Aggie Stadium.
