Had a breakout 2016 campaign where he earned national recognition and was named first-team All-MEAC at the linebacker position … Transformed himself from a walk-on to the one of the best defensive players in the MEAC … Despite all of his success, still stayed true to his roots by being one of the Aggies most stellar special teams players … Can also play the rover/strong safety position with his speed and athleticism … Has good coverage skills and makes good open-field tackles … Has played in 36 games with 14 starts … Has made 118 tackles (85 unassisted), 15 tackles for loss and six sacks … Has 95 ½ inch reach, a 32 1/2 -inch vertical and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds.

2016 Season: Started all 12 games … Made a team-leading 79 tackles (57 unassisted), 10 ½- tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions and 12 pass defenses … Ranked 13th in the MEAC in tackles, 13th in tackles for loss and fourth in pass defenses … Forced three fumbles to rank fifth in the league and was eighth in interceptions … Nationally, ranked 50th in interceptions and 53rd in forced fumbles … Had a career game that earned National Defensive Player of the Week from STATS FCS when he led the Aggies to an upset win over Division I-FBS Kent State with 15 tackles (12 unassisted), four tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one interception and two sacks in the quadruple overtime game … Posted five unassisted tackles and had two tackles for loss in the Aggies 31-9 win over Hampton on Sept. 29 … Returned an interception 24 yards for a touchdown to help the Aggies seal a 52-35 win over Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 15 … Had 12 tackles (six unassisted), one tackle for loss and two pass break ups in the Aggies 30-20 win over S.C. State on Nov. 5.  

2015 Season: Played in 12 games without a start … Made 22 tackles (17 unassisted) with 2.5 tackles for loss … Eleven of his tackles came on special teams as he ranked second on the team in special teams tackles … Made four solo tackles at Norfolk State on Oct. 10 in a 27-3 win … Made two sacks and two special teams tackles in the game.

2014 Season: Played in 12 games with two starts…Made 27 tackles (11 unassisted), had 2.5 tackles for loss (15 yards lost) and two sacks (14 yards lost) … Also had six pass defenses and he recovered a fumble…Got the start against Alabama A&M in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Orlando, Fla., on Aug. 31 and had three tackles, a sack and a forced fumble…Posted four tackles and broke up a pass in a 59-0 win over Chowan at Aggie Stadium on Sept. 20.

High School: Played high school football at Kinston High where he led the Vikings to the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 2AA championship game in 2011…Made 46 solo and 49 assisted tackles for a total of 95 during his senior season…Made 18 tackles in a 48-21 win over First Flight on Nov. 2, 2012…Recorded 10 tackles in a 36-0 win over South Lenoir on Aug. 24, 2012…Made three sacks on the season…Offensively, he had 240 yards receiving and three touchdowns on 16 receptions…Helped the Kinston High basketball team to the 2012 NCHSAA Class 2AA title by averaging 4.2 points per game....Was named Eastern Plains Conference Defensive Player of the Year and earned first-team all-conference honors...Finished fourth in North Carolina in the  triple jump...Earned the Marines Scholar Athlete award, was the treasurer for his National Honor Society and served on the school's student government.
