Became the Aggies starter at left guard during the 2015 season … Has made 24 straight starts since becoming the starter … Was a part-time starter at guard as a redshirt freshman in 2014 … The Aggies have had the No. 1 rushing attack in the conference since Mattocks became a starter … Behind Mattocks’ strong play the Aggies ranked No. 1 in the MEAC in 3rd down conversion, total first downs, rushing offense, scoring offense, fewest tackles for loss allowed, fewest sacks allowed and total offense … Has good feet and is a good bull rusher … Has good intensity and blocks to the whistle blows … Can bench press 225 pounds 22 times while his bench press max is 400 pounds … Has a 101-inch reach and 315-pound power clean … Has played 30 games with 26 starts.

2016 Season: Started all 12 games at the left guard position … Graded out well in games against St. Augustine’s, Norfolk State, Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M … Helped the Aggies produce 561 yards of offense at Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 15 by grading out in the 80’s … Helped running back Tarik Cohen compile three straight 200-yard rushing games between Sept. 29 and Oct. 15 … Helped the Aggies complete 20 of 27 passes against Florida A&M on Oct. 29 during Homecoming while grading out well.

2015 Season: Started all 12 games at the left guard position … Had outstanding games against Shaw University, Howard, Florida A&M and Alcorn State … Graded out well against Howard on Oct. 24 as the Aggies compiled 426 yards of offense … Played well against Alcorn State on Dec. 19 in Atlanta in the Celebration Bowl as he posted two pancake blocks and the Aggies had a season-high 543 yards of offense.

2014 Season: Played in six games with three starts…Made starts against Alabama A&M, Coastal Carolina and Savannah State at the right guard position…Played all six games at right guard…Graded out well against Alabama A&M on Aug. 31 in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Orlando, Fla.

High School: Played center in high school…Led Swansboro to a 7-5 record…Also played defensive line, and was named Max Preps Player of the Week after making nine tackles and an interception…Recorded 43 solo and 22 assisted tackles for a total of 65 as a senior…Also made four sacks and caused a fumble....Made the all-area team twice, all-conference once and was named the best lineman on his team...Participated in track as well, winning a conference championship in the throws.
