Became the Aggies starter at left guard during the 2015 season … Was a part-time starter at guard as a redshirt freshman in 2014 … In his first season as a full-time starter, Mattocks helped the Aggies to put together the No. 1 rushing attack in the MEAC … Has good feet and is a good bull rusher … Has good intensity and blocks to the whistle blows … Can bench press 225 pounds 22 times which is an improvement from last season … Has a 101-inch reach and bench presses 390 pounds…Has played in 18 games in his career with 14 starts.
2015 Season: Started all 12 games at the left guard position … Had outstanding games against Shaw University, Howard, Florida A&M and Alcorn State … Graded out well against Howard on Oct. 24 as the Aggies compiled 426 yards of offense … Played well against Alcorn State on Dec. 19 in Atlanta in the Celebration Bowl as he posted two pancake blocks and the Aggies had a season-high 543 yards of offense.
2014 Season: Played in six games with three starts…Made starts against Alabama A&M, Coastal Carolina and Savannah State at the right guard position…Played all six games at right guard…Graded out well against Alabama A&M on Aug. 31 in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Orlando, Fla.
High School: Played center in high school…Led Swansboro to a 7-5 record…Also played defensive line, and was named Max Preps Player of the Week after making nine tackles and an interception…Recorded 43 solo and 22 assisted tackles for a total of 65 as a senior…Also made four sacks and caused a fumble....Made the all-area team twice, all-conference once and was named the best lineman on his team...Participated in track as well, winning a conference championship in the throws.
