Expected to be the glorious future for the Aggies in the hurdles…Had a productive first season in an A&T track uniform…Townsend was a part of talented class designed to lift Aggies track and field back to prominence…Posted personal best of 50.46 in the 400 meters, 8.17 in the 60-meter hurdles, 14.13 in the 110 hurdles and 52.39 in the 400 hurdles…His versatility also extended to the javelin and the long and high jumps…As a freshman, he earned two All-MEAC honors by finishing second in the 1600 meter relay and distant medley relay in the MEAC indoor meet…Also qualified for the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round in the 110-meter hurdles in Jacksonville, Fla.

2013-14 Indoor Season: Competed in six indoor meets his first season as an Aggie… Placed second in the 60 hurdles at the JDL Kick-off Classic with a personal best time of 8.17 on Dec. 7…Helped the 1600 meter relay team place third at 3:17.93 at the Wake Forest Invitational on Jan. 11… Placed second in the 400 at 50.46 at the Gene Anderson Invitational on Jan. 17… Picked up a first-place finish in the 60 hurdles in 8.33 at the UNCG Spartans Team Challenge on Jan. 26… Jumped 5-feet, 7 inches in the high jump at the same meet to finish third…Helped the 1600 meter relay team (3:16.73) and distant medley relay(10:23.68) finish second at the MEAC indoor championships to earn second-team all-conference honors in both events.

2014 Outdoor Season: Competed in eight outdoor meets… Helped the 1600 meter relay place first in 3:10.79 at the Charlotte 49er Classic…At the same meet, placed first in the 110 hurdles at 14.54 … Placed fourth in the 110 hurdles at the 2014 Aggie Invitational in 14.22… Threw the javelin 155-feet, 10 inches for a fourth-place finish at the Aggie Invitational… Qualified for the 110 hurdles at the NCAA East meet.  

High School: Attended Neumann Goretti…Won the Pennsylvania Class 2A state outdoor championship in the 110 meter hurdles with a personal-best 14.06…Was also an All-District 12 performer after finishing first in the 110 with a time of 14.70…Also won the state title in 110 in 2012 with a time of 14.45… Also won the district in the 110 in 2012 and he finished third in the state in the men’s 300 meter hurdles during outdoor…His personal best in the 60 meter hurdles indoor was 8.03 ran at the TFCAofGP Meet of Champions on Feb. 16, 2013.

Personal: Full name Todd Brandon Townsend…He is the son of Lincoln and Joanette Townsend…He was born on September 24, 1994…Has two siblings, Brittney and Sydni Townsend…His major is criminal justice…One of his outside activities includes being a member of the Army ROTC.
