The lady’s first-place finishes were just as impressive. Sophomore Demetria Dickens took first in the women’s discus with a throw of 142-feet, 5-inches. The women’s 4x400-meter relay, which consisted of seniors Roshel Bygrave and Jessica Farr and freshmen Daniqua Dye and Imani Harris-Quillen placed first at 3:49.08.

“I feel really good,” said Duane Ross, director of track and field programs. “I think our team really showed up and they showed up and showed some of that Aggie Pride that we are so excited and so anxious to repeat all the time. I think overall we had a great team performance from our men and women.”

The Aggies also stood out when they weren’t finishing in first. They had three athletes competing in the men’s 100 meter dash where Williams led the Aggies with a second-place finish at 10.69.  Gabriel placed fourth at 10.79 and freshman Joshua Peoples placed sixth in 10.97.

The women’s 4x100-meter relay team of junior Latrese Barker, Farr, sophomore Tiffany Ellick and Bygrave finished second as they completed the race with their second-best time of the season, 46.04.
