2014 Season: Made 21 appearances with 13 starts…Tossed seven complete games and was second on the team in wins with a 6-4 record … Produced a 4.22 ERA in 83.0 innings pitched where she tallied 23 strikeouts and walked 27 … Notched five games where she struck out a season-high three batters against Alabama A&M (Feb. 15), UMES (Feb. 22), Rider (Feb. 23), Arkansas Pine Bluff (March 8) and NCCU (May 3) … Reached base on a walk in her one at-bat during the season.

High School: Attended Massaponax where she played varsity softball for four years under coaches Ron Blackburn and Ric Dugan … Received first team all-district honors as a senior and second team all-district during her freshman and sophomore seasons … Was a four-year honor roll student and member of the National Youth Leadership Council.  

Personal: Full name is Maiven Meghan McKnight…She is the daughter of Chris and Kristen McKnight …She has two siblings, Adrian and Lalia …She was born on March 16, 1995 and majors in economics…Spent the summer working and traveling …Chose A&T to play softball, because of its economics department and school spirit … Her favorite food is strawberries and fruit loops, and her favorite television show is “The Walking Dead”…Her goals for the season are to increase her pitching speeds and start at least one game.
