Showed great potential as a freshman, even earning a starting position for almost half the season… Displayed tremendous quickness and active hands on defense throughout the season… Also had some big assists games but also struggled with turnovers… Was the only true freshman on the 2014-15 roster….Head coach Cy Alexander describes his game as “New York style” and added that he is the quickest guard on the team…Can get to the basket easily with his speed and the coaching staff will look for him to improve his perimeter game and his free throw shooting as his career develops.
2014-15 Season: Played in 29 games with 13 starts…Averaged 4.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 17.9 minutes per game … Averaged 26.3 minutes over his first 15 games before Ahmad Abdullah took over as the starting point guard on Jan. 3 … Shot .315 from the floor, .426 from the free throw line and .167 from 3-point range … Averaged 1.2 steals per game and was tied for 12th in the MEAC … Became the first player in 13 years to garner 10 assists in a game when he dished out to 10 assists at nationally-ranked Ohio State on Dec. 17 … Scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, including five offensive rebounds in a loss to Radford on Nov. 28 … Had nine points and a season-high five steals in a near upset of St. Louis on Nov. 25.
High School: Played three four varsity seasons at Believe Academy Preparatory under head coach Cory Semper…Earned second-team All-City…Led his team to the Queens Borough Championship…Was also selected to play in the City All-Star Game…Averaged 15.0 points and 8.1 assists per game as a senior.
