Bio

An outstanding defensive player who will add senior leadership to the Aggies secondary in 2019 … Will battle fellow Durham native and Hillside High School graduate Najee Reams for playing time at the free safety position … During his time at N.C. A&T, the Aggies have won three MEAC championships, three HBCU national titles and three Celebration Bowl games … During his three years of playing on the field, the Aggies are 31-5 overall 21-2 in the MEAC … Brings tremendous speed an athleticism to the position …  Has been an excellent special teams player during his career … Was fourth in the nation in 2018 in blocked kicks with three … Has played in 28 games in his career with nine starts … During his career, he has made 43 tackles (30 unassisted) with six pass breakups … Has an impressive 95 ½ inch reach.

2018 Season: Played in 10 games with eight starts … Recorded 30 tackles (23 unassisted) and broke up five passes … Had one tackle for loss for a five-yard loss … Also had one interception and three blocked kicks … Had an outstanding game against Morgan State on Sept. 22 where he recorded six tackles and blocked a punt … His blocked punt led to a 19-yard touchdown run by Marquell Cartwright … Played well in the Aggies game against Florida A&M on Oct. 13 as he finished with four tackles, two blocked kicks and two pass breakups … His blocked kick in the first quarter led to a 38-yard touchdown pass from Lamar Raynard to Zachary Leslie … His blocked kick in the second quarter led to a 19-yard touchdown pass from Raynard to Leslie.  

2017 Season: Played in six games with one start … Finished the season with six tackles (three unassisted) … Made three tackles in the Aggies upset win over Charlotte on Sept. 16 … Did return from injury for the Aggies Celebration Bowl win over Grambling State on Dec. 16.

2016 Season: Played in 12 games without a start … Made seven tackles (four unassisted) … Opened the season with two unassisted tackles in a win over St. Augustine’s on Sept. 3 … Five of his tackles came on special teams.

High School: Played both safety and cornerback during his high school career … Was a three-year starter at Hillside … Earned two all-conference nods during his career … Finished his career with 14 interceptions with seven of those INTs coming during his senior season.
