2016 Season: Played in 19 matches with 18 starts over 68 sets …Produced 127 kills (1.87 per set) with 99 errors on 448 total attacks for a .062 hitting percentage…Finished the season with five assists (0.07 per set), 144 digs (2.12), 25 total blocks (0.37) and 10 service aces…Was third on the team in kills and fourth in digs…Had a four-match streak of 10 or more kills from Oct. 12-Oct. 30…Reached a season-high 14 kills against South Carolina State at home on Oct. 30…Her first career double-double came against Norfolk State on Oct. 12 with 12 kills and 13 digs…Had a season-high 20 digs against N.C. Central at home on Nov. 11 in the final regular-season finale … Contributed to five total blocks at Savannah State on Sept. 30.
High School: Played three years of varsity at North Raleigh Christian Academy and Triangle Volleyball Club … The outside hitter earned all-state honors as a senior … Was a member of the 2015 NCISAA state championship team … Was part of the all-tournament team as a junior and received the Coach’s Award … Named best offensive player as a sophomore … Also played basketball and ran track.
Personal: Full name is Christa Victoria Wilson … She is the daughter of Mia and Patricio Wilson … She has three siblings: Maya, James and Joi … She was born on May 22, 1998 … After graduation she hopes to be married and working in her career field … Outside of volleyball, she enjoys writing, singing and dancing … Her favorite TV show is The First 48 and favorite food is sushi.
