Head coach Hal Clifton said he knew Shabazz would be a good fit for the N.C. A&T volleyball program the first time he saw her play … Has quickness at the net and possesses the ability to play above the net … Should be a very exciting player for Aggie fans to watch over her career … Has a fast arm swing and can generate space behind the ball … Attack attempts should be hard to defend because of her ability to create angles with her leaping ability ... She proved to be an effective blocker during her first season of action. 

2018 Season: Played in 27 sets over 17 matches with no starts … Recorded 32 kills and 10 blocks and averaged 1.19 kills and 0.37 blocks … Recorded a season-high eight kills against Maryland Eastern Shore on Nov. 16 in the MEAC Volleyball Championship Tournament with a .312 hitting percentage … Posted a season-high two blocks against Jackson State on Aug. 25, Florida A&M on Sept. 28 and at FAMU on Oct. 26.

2017 Season: Took a redshirt season ... 

High School:  Played four years of varsity volleyball at Northwest High School … Named Conference Co-player of the Year in 2016 and third-team All-City…Was a Cincinnati Enquirer Female Athlete of the Year nominee in 2016…Named first-team All-Conference in 2015 and was honorable mention All-City… Named SWOC Player of the Year in 2014… She was also an accomplished basketball and track & field athlete.

Personal:  Full name is Fatimah Aliyyah Nailah Shabazz…Daughter of Lisa Blaine… Grandfather Leonard Blaine was a Hall of Fame basketball player at Central State University…Born Sept. 19, 1999, and is majoring in pre-physical therapy…Sees herself as an occupational therapist with a Ph.D. in 10 years … Her favorite television show is Impractical Jokers and favorite food is chicken wings.
