Has smooth hands and at six-foot, delivers a quick ball to the middle but can also hit her targets on the pins … Head coach Hal Clifton said she is an excellent attacker and blocker when in the front row… Provides the Aggies with a lot of balance and flexibility to run a 5-1 or a 6-2 … Led the Aggies to their first MEAC title match in 13 years.


2018 Season: Played in and started 24 matches … Played 86 sets and totaled 147 kills (1.71) with 381 total attacks for hitting percentage of .210 … Also compiled 646 assists (7.51) and 28 service aces (0.33) … Recorded 38 blocks (0.44), 180 digs (2.09) and finished the season with 196.5 points, the second highest total on the team … Led the team in assists and service aces for the second straight season … Ranked 128th in the nation and 11th in the MEAC in service aces … Ranked sixth in the conference in assists … Finished the season with four double-figure kill matches, six double-figure dig matches and had 10 matches where she registered 30 or more assists … Posted eight double-doubles during the season, four consisting of assists and kills and four consisting of assists and digs … Named MEAC Setter of the Week on Aug. 27 … Had 120 assists over 12 sets played against Alabama A&M, Alabama State and Jackson State as the Aggies went 3-0 at the ISTAP College Cup Cartersville, Ga … Posted 16 kills and 33 assists in a 3-1 win over N.C. Central on Oct. 12 … Had 12 kills and 20 assists in the Aggies 3-0 win over NCCU in Durham on Nov. 8 … Had eight kills, no attack errors, 33 assists, 13 digs and a .571 hitting percentage in a 3-1 win over S.C. State on Nov. 2 … Finished with 11 kills, 27 assists and nine digs with a .450 hitting percentage to lead the Aggies to MEAC quarterfinals win over MDES … In the historic semifinal win over FAMU, she finished with 10 kills, 24 assists and a .350 hitting percentage.


2017 Season: Played in 28 matches with  27 starts in 86 sets played  … Totaled 588 assists (6.0 per set), 211 digs (2.15), 158 kills (1.61), 44 service aces (0.45) and 42 blocks  … Completed the season with a .206 hitting percentage … Led the team in assists and service aces … Ranked 17th nationally and second in the MEAC in service aces per set … Ranked 35th in the nation in service aces … Ranked 10th in MEAC in assists … Finished with six double-figure dig matches … Had 27 double-figure assists matches with nine 25-plus assists performances … Posted six double-doubles … Named MEAC Rookie of the Week on Oct. 9 … Was the only MEAC player to notch a triple-double in 2017 registering a season-high13 kills to go along with 25 assists and 11 digs in a 3-1 win over Gardner-Webb at Moore Gymnasium … She also had a season-high three blocks against GWU … Posted nine kills, 31 assists and added eight digs in a 3-2 win at NCCU on Sept. 28 … Had a season-high 33 assists to go along with four kills and eight digs in a 3-0 win vs. Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 8.


High School: Played two years of varsity volleyball at Lakota East High School… Was a two-year varsity player who was named conference player of the year and was an all-district and all-state honorable mention … As a senior was named first-team all-conference and second-team all-district … Was an honor roll student throughout high school … Was selected as one of 19 members to the Junior Volleyball Association All-American team in 2016 representing the 2017 class … Her club team was Elevation 18-Lovett.


Personal:  Full name is Edie Brewer…Daughter of Kim and Web Brewer… Mother played volleyball at Xavier and sister, Iris, played at Wingate University…Has three siblings: Iris, Lena, and Jada… Born July 3, 1999 and is majoring in computer science…Enjoys painting, yoga, and animals outside of volleyball…Her favorite television show is Grey’s Anatomy and favorite food is seafood.
