Bio

Had an immediate impact with the Aggies in his first season with the team after transferring in from Coastal Carolina … Formed one of the best 1-2 punches at running back in the MEAC along with Marquell Cartwright … Both men were All-MEAC performers with Cartwright earning first-team honors and Martin earning third-team recognition … Should shoulder more of the running load this season with Cartwright’s graduation …  Played at nearby Conway High School before signing with Coastal Carolina … Played the 2016 season with the Chanticleers and rushed for 175 yards on 27 carries … Brings speed and power to the Aggies backfield … Has the breakaway speed to score on long runs. 

2018 Season: Played in 12 games with two starts … Rushed for 656 yards and seven touchdowns on 98 carries for 6.7 yards per carry … Was tied for the team lead with Cartwright for rushing touchdowns and led the team in yards per carry … Earned third-team All-MEAC honors after the season … Had his first breakout game on Sept. 8 when he rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries in the Aggies 45-6 win over Gardner-Webb … Scored the opening touchdown of the game from 28 yards out before scoring on a 42-yard run later in the game … Rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in the Aggies 31-16 win over S.C. State on Sept. 27 … Had the momentum-changing TD in the game when he ran in from 40 yards out just before halftime to cut the Bulldogs lead to 16-10 … Had his first career 100-yard rushing game when he ran for 118 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries in a 35-10 win at Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 20 … Scored on a 67-yard run in the win … Followed that performance with 130 yards rushing and a touchdown on 10 carries in the Aggies 37-20 Homecoming win over Norfolk State on Nov. 3. 

High School:  Played varsity football at Conway High School where he racked up back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons … As a senior, he ran for 1,143 yards and 19 touchdowns … Also recorded 206 yards receiving and three touchdowns … Led the Tigers to a 9-3 season. … Rushed for 1,132 yards and 11 TD’s the prior season and was selected to play in the South Carolina North-South All-Star Game … Was named WBTW All-Blitz and WPDE All-Zone team.
