Comes to N.C. A&T after spending two years at East Carolina … Played in the N.C. A&T vs. ECU contest in 2018 for the Pirates where he threw for 10 yards on 2-for-5 passing … Enjoyed the comradery among the N.C. A&T’s football team and therefore he later decided to join the Aggie family … Expected to compete for the starting quarterback position against Jalen Fowler and Kylil Carter … Can benefit the Aggies in the running and passing game with his tremendous speed and throwing ability … Was able to participate in the Aggies 2019 spring practice and played in the annual Aggie Blue & Gold Spring Game where he won the game for Aggie Blue by throwing a 4-yard touchdown pass to Ron Hunt. … Recruited by Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State and Pittsburgh, Harvard and Yale … Graduated high school with a 3.70-grade point average.

2018 Season at ECU: Played in five games for the Pirates in his first season of action … Threw for 21 yards on 3-for-9 passing with two interceptions.


2017 Season at ECU: Redshirted as a true freshman during the initial season in the Pirates’ program.

High School: Played and starred at Vance High School … Amassed 5,144 total yards and 64 touchdowns as a senior, which ranked as the fourth-highest single-season yardage total in North Carolina prep history … Served as the team captain and played a key role for a Cougars squad that went 13-2 record (5-1 conference) and reached the Class 4AA West Regional Championship Game before falling to Page  … In addition to rushing for 1,092 yards, also totaled 4,052 passing yards to become only the 14th player in NCHSAA history to reach the latter milestone … Threw for 47 touchdowns and ran for 17 TDs as a senior to earn Charlotte Observer Player of the Year honors … Helped the Cougars reach the regional final by scoring the winning touchdown and converting a two-point conversion in overtime to lift VHS past Butler 50-49  … Threw for 367 yards and a school-record seven touchdowns on 23-for-27 passing in a win over James Island Charter School in 2016 …  Also in 2016, guided the Cougars to a 38-21 road win over three-time defending state champion Mallard Creek by throwing two touchdowns and running for two more … Played freshman season at Berry Academy before transferring to Vance prior to sophomore campaign … In his first start on the varsity level in 2015, completed 23 of 33 passes for a single-game school record 440 yards and six touchdowns against West Mecklenburg … As a junior, threw for 3,213 yards and 30 touchdowns while also rushing for 800 yards and 14 TDs … Lettered in track and field three times and in basketball twice … A three-star prospect who was rated 84th overall and 21st among dual-threat QBs nationally according to 247Sports.com.
