NC A&T Softball BIO
 Scott Pohlman enters his first season as the assistant softball coach at North Carolina A&T. He will work under head coach Mamie Jones and assists in the areas of pitching, recruiting and completing of administrative duties. 

Previous to working with the Aggies, Pohlman served as an assistant coach at Denison University. While at Denison he has compiled a record of 60-26.  During his tenure numerous players have received post-season honors.  He joined Denison after spending three seasons as the head softball coach and Athletic Director at Millersport High School.

After taking over the Millersport softball program in 2007, Pohlman guided the Lakers to over 50 victories and two sectional championships, which were the school's first ever in softball.  Before Pohlman took over the Millersport softball program, they had won only eight games in eight years.  In 2007 and 2008, he was named the Central Ohio Division IV Coach of the Year. 

Pohlman spent the 2006 season as the volunteer junior varsity coach at Sheridan High School prior to his stint at Millersport.

While coaching in the high school ranks, Pohlman was very active in the summer, coaching various regionally and nationally ranked travel teams.  Pohlman spent over 10 years as the Head softball coach for the Ohio Stingrays and Buckeye Heat.  His start in coaching was with the Road Runners club based out of New Concord, Ohio.  This came after a 27-year career with the Ohio Department of Public Safety's Investigative Unit.  He retired in 2007 with the rank of Deputy Director. 

A 1980 graduate of Capital University, Pohlman was a four-year letter winner in football and a two-year letter winner in wrestling for the Crusaders.  He earned degrees in political science and criminal justice.  He also graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) National Academy in 1993.

Pohlman and his wife, Diane, have two daughters.
