RALEIGH – Sophomore Marquis Noble had a big day for the North Carolina A&T men’s track and field team on Friday at the Raleigh Relays at N.C. State’s Paul Derr Track. Noble competed in the long jump, the 100 meter preliminaries and the 1600 sprint medley relay.

Noble finished in the top 5 in two of the events and qualified for the 100 meter final. Noble had a first-place finish in his long jump flight with a 23-foot, 11 ½ inch mark. He place fourth overall in the event. He then teamed with Jeffery Lewis, Darius Bogertey and Christian Harrison to finish the 1600 medley relay in 3:26.56 for fifth place.

Noble also qualified for Saturday’s 100 meter final. He crossed the finish line in 10.74 to be the seventh of eight qualifiers. Teammate Desmond Lawrence also qualified with a time of 10.72. The Aggie men will compete again on Saturday with field events and relays.
