Francisco Suarez was named an assistant baseball coach by head coach Joel Sanchez. Suarez enters his first season with the Aggies and will assist with recruiting efforts as well as working with catchers, outfielders and hitting.

He is a 2013 graduate of Coker College where he received a degree in physical education and sports management. He was two-year member and co-captain of the Coker College baseball team that made an appearance in the Division II World Series in 2013. Suarez also helped lead his team to a Southeastern Regional Championship and a Conference Carolinas championship.

He was named to the Conference Carolinas all-tournament team during his senior year and received the Coker College’s Coach’s Award. In 2012, Suarez was named to the Conference Carolinas Academic team.

Suarez transferred to Coker College from Lawson State Community College where he played baseball for two seasons. He graduated magna cum laude in 2011 with an associate of arts degree in communication and was also on the Dean’s List.

Suarez is a Miami native and graduated from Miami Senior High School where he was second-team All-Dade County in 2008 and ’09.
