GREENSBORO (July 31, 2017) – STATS FCS, one of the top organizations in covering the Football Championship Subdivision, released its preseason All-American team on Monday with two North Carolina A&T Aggies on it. Left tackle Brandon Parker (6-foot-7, 309, R-SR, Kannapolis, N.C.) and punt returner Khris Gardin (5-7, 185, SR, Morganton, N.C.) earned the prestigious accolades at their respective positions.

Parker’s preseason honors are starting to accumulate. On Friday, he was named preseason first-team All-MEAC. In previous weeks, he has been recognized as a preseason All-American by Lindy’s, Sporting News, College Football America Yearbook, and Athlon. Parker is the reigning two-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year and a three-time All-MEAC selection. Gardin is 445 yards shy of breaking the NCAA FCS record for career punt return yards. In his career, he has 1,223 and four touchdowns. In 2015, he set the FCS record for single-season punt return yards with 740. He also set a new FCS mark for punt return yards per game in a single season with 61.7 per contest. Gardin was also named to Athlon's preseason All-American team as a punt returner.
