GREENSBORO (February 2, 2018) – North Carolina A&T State University will continue its 2018 indoor campaign at the JDL Fast Track for the Camel City Invitational on February 2-3 and the Queens University Combined Events Meet on February 5-6.

N.C. A&T is coming off an impressive fifth weekend of the indoor season at the Liberty Kickoff that featured eight victories for the Aggies and numerous personal-bests. Junior Kayla White made N.C. A&T history over the weekend, posting a personal-best time in the 60-meter hurdles setting an indoor school record in the event. Senior India Brown was named co-MEAC women’s track performer after winning the 60 meters in a time of 7.52 and followed it up with a winning time of 23.86 in the 200m. Her time in the 200 ranks 37th nationally as of last weekend.

The men’s team performance highlights included a victory in the 60mh by senior Michael Dickson (7.81) ranking No. 14 nationally and senior Dajuan Harding winning the 400m with a time of 47.77. Senior Rodney Rowe was named MEAC men’s track performer of the week after winning the men’s 200m in a MEAC-best time 21.03. His mark ranks 14th nationally.

Friday’s running events begins with the women’s mile run at 1 p.m. while the high jump and weight throw kicks off the field events. The 400m starts at 2:20 p.m., followed by the women’s 60m prelims at 3:50 p.m., and the 5000m run at 4:30 p.m. The pole vault is slated for 1 p.m. and the long jump is at 3 p.m., concluding the field events on day one. The final three running events will be the 800m run at 5:15 p.m., the 60m dash finals at 6:20 p.m. and the 3000m run at 6:30 p.m.

The shot put and triple jump events leads off Saturday’s events at 9 a.m. The 60m hurdle prelims is first on the track at 10:30 a.m. followed by the 200m dash at 11:10 a.m. The 60m hurdle finals are at 1:30 p.m. and the 4x400m relay events concludes the Camel City Invite at 3:15 p.m.
