GREENSBORO - After helping the North Carolina A&T women's basketball team to Saturday's dominating 67-27 win over arch-rival N.C. Central for their first MEAC win of the season, redshirt freshman Eboni Ross garnered MEAC Rookie of the Week honors on Monday.
Ross, who made her first two career starts this past week, totaled 11 points, six rebounds, three blocks and a steal in games at Richmond and at home against N.C. Central. Against the Eagles, she provided seven points with a team-best three blocks along with a steal. Ross was 5-for-10 from the field last week.
Ross is tied for second on the team with 31 rebounds (4.4 rpg) and is first on the team with 10 blocks. Ross is the first Aggie to earn a weekly conference award this season. Last year, the Aggies had seven Rookie of the Week selections and two Defensive Player of the Week selections.
