Aggies Overview: A&T continues its lengthy road trip through the Thanksgiving holiday as it faces ACC foe Georgia Tech at McCamish Pavilion. The Aggies are going after their first-ever win over an ACC program. In order to pull off the upset the Aggies must rebound the basketball. The hope for second-year Aggies head coach Cy Alexander is that he can get more rebounding out of frontcourt players Waylan Siverand and Bryan Akinkugbe. If those two players are rebounding, he believes he can get the offensive production from Richaud Pack and Lamont Middleton to make the Aggies a hard team to defeat. Akinkugbe entered the Aggies lineup for the first time on Nov. 15 when he made the start against Rhode Island. A&T has shot the ball well thus far this season. They are shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from 3-point range.
Georgia Tech Overview: The Rambling Wreck already has a win over a MEAC school this season with a 68-50 win over Delaware State. The Yellow Jackets also have wins Presbyterian and Georgia, but they are coming off of a loss to Dayton. They are in their third season under head coach Brian Gregory. Last year, his team posted a 16-15 record overall and they went 6-12 in the ACC to finish ninth. Georgia Tech returns four starters in post players Robert Carter Jr., and Daniel Miller and wings Marcus Georges-Hunt and Chris Bolden. Trae Golden is the leading scorer at 14.8 points per game. Miller is posting 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
Potential Star: If senior Richaud Pack can get hot from beyond 3-point range, it could help the Aggies stay close enough late in the game to pull off the upset. Pack is 9-for-12 from 3-point range this season.
