Assistant Coach
Alma Mater: N.C. A&T
Graduating Year: 2014

Stefan Jordan was promoted to assistant coach on Dec. 11, 2017 for the North Carolina A&T baseball program as announced by head coach Ben Hall. A year earlier he came to the program as a volunteer assistant coach. Jordan, a four-year starter at catcher from 2011-14, will be responsible for coaching catchers, coordinating camps and assisting with other aspects of the program.

In 2018, Aggie catchers Ryne Stanley and Adan Ordonez combined to catch 19 baserunners trying to steal with Stanley registering 10 and Ordonez recording nine. Ordonez was again a solid defensive catcher with a .989 fielding percentage.

Jordan graduated N.C. A&T summa cum laude with a degree in journalism and mass communications in 2014. After graduation he accepted a position as an assistant coach at Division III powerhouse Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio under three-time national coach of the year Brian Brewer. During Jordan’s time there, the Etta Express won the 2016 OAC championship and played in the south regional in Rome, Ga. Jordan worked as the lead catching instructor, Don Schaly Stadium supervisor and also assisted with hitting, recruiting and other aspects of the program.

Under Jordan’s tutelage, Marietta College’s catchers had better caught stealing percentages, fewer passed balls, better fielding percentages and starting catcher Eric White was named All-OAC tournament and honorable mention All-OAC.

Prior to Marietta College, Jordan spent time as a coach and instructor with Heat Showcase Baseball in Hickory, N.C., and was an assistant coach for Hickory Post 48.
