Kilpatrick Signs Professional Contract

GREENSBORO (August 4, 2017) – Aliyah Kilpatrick (5-foot-8, Charlotte, N.C.), who played one season for the North Carolina A&T women’s basketball team during the 2016-17 season, signed a professional contract to play in Romania for the 2017-18 season.

Kilpatrick played three seasons at Winthrop University before coming to N.C. A&T as a graduate transfer. She played a critical role for the Aggies in her one season. She played in 32 games with 28 starts and led the team in scoring (12.0), assists (3.1) and steals (2.7). She was fourth on the team in rebounding at 4.9 per game. Kilpatrick finished second in the MEAC in steals and assist-to-turnover ratio and was third in the league in assists. She scored in double figures 21 times, posted one double-double and closed out her Aggie career by scoring in double figures in her last 10 games. After her 2015-16 season at Winthrop, she was named Big South Defensive Player of the Year.
