GREENSBORO (April 16, 2018) – For the second time this season, North Carolina A&T relief pitcher Josh Stikeleather (6-0, SR, RHP, Kenly, N.C.) earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference co-pitcher of the week in baseball on Monday for his efforts during the week of April 9-15.

Stikeleather threw a combined three innings of relief this past week in three appearances picking up a save in each of the Aggies two wins at North Carolina Central. He only gave up two hits and one run in those appearances combining for four strikeouts including a pair in one inning of work in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader at Durham Athletic Park.

In 14 appearances, Stikeleather has a 0.93 ERA striking out 35 batters with only four total runs scored in 29 innings pitched. His four saves are tied for the MEAC lead. Earlier in the season Stikeleather, registered both a save and a win week against Presbyterian and St. Bonaventure to earn MEAC co-pitcher of the week on March 19.

N.C. A&T has won 10 of their last 12 games and will wrap-up a current five-game road swing with back-to-back games at USC Upstate 6 p.m., Tuesday and at Elon 6 p.m., Wednesday.
