GREENSBORO (February 14, 2017) – North Carolina A&T senior bowler Kristin Shinn has continued to stand out among her peers, being recognized as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Bowler of the Week on Tuesday for her performance at the Stormin’ Ladyjack Classic in Conroe, Texas this past weekend.

Shinn, who leads the Aggies averaging 194.90 this season, finished 13th individually averaging 207.8 in traditional play and 172.6 in Baker competition.  She bowled a game-high 232 on her way to a 10,039 total pin fall and bowled her second highest average of the season.

In addition to her strong play last weekend, Shinn has had several standout appearances since the start of the spring portion of the season. She averaged 225 with a season-high 245 game at the Kutztown Invitational on Jan. 21 and averaged 174.00 at the Prairie View A&M tournament on Jan. 28.

Overall, the No. 18 Aggies finished with a 4-1 record in Traditional play with three wins over nationally ranked teams to finish 13th in the tournament.  They have a small break before resuming MEAC competition in the third conference tournament of the season hosted by Bethune-Cookman Feb. 25-26.  N.C. A&T currently sits atop the southern division with a 9-3 record.
