2013-2014 Season: Competed in seven indoor meets…Placed third in the mile at the JDL College Kick-off Classic with a time of 4:22.88… Placed third in the 800 at the Joe Hilton Invitational in 1:58.80… Placed second in the 3000 at 9:13.57 at the UNCG Spartans Team Challenge…Placed third, earning third-team All-MEAC honors in the 5000 at 15:25.60 , and fourth in the 3000 at 9:03.20 at the MEAC Indoor Championships … At the same meet, helped the distance medley relay team earn second-team All-MEAC honors by placing second in 10:23.68.
2014 Outdoor Season: Competed in six outdoor meets during the season…Helped the 1600 sprint medley relay place third in 3:25.34 at the Raleigh Relays… Placed first in the 3000 steeplechase at 9:47.69 and third in the 1500 in 3:59.83 at the 2014 Aggie Invitational …Placed fourth in the 1500 in 4:01.04 and fifth in the 3000 steeplechase in 9:48.79 at the MEAC Outdoor Championships.
2012-13 Indoor Season: Competed in five meets during the indoor season…Opened the season by finishing fifth at the JDL College Kick-Off Classic on Dec. 1 with a time of 4:23.77 in the mile…Earned third-team All-MEAC honors as a part of the Aggies distant medley relay team at the 2013 MEAC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 10:25.62…At the same meet, finished sixth in the 5000 meters by finishing in 15:50.95.
2013 Outdoor Season: Competed in seven meets during the outdoor season…Placed second in the 1500 meters at the 41st Robert “Jet” Johnson Bulldog Relays in 4:11.65 on March 23…Had a third-place finish at the N.C. A&T Aggie Invitational in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:03.05 on April 13…At the same meet, finished third in the 5000 meters in 16:14.50…Earned third-team All-MEAC honors in the 1500 meters and 3000 meter steeplechase at the 2013 MEAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Irwin Belk Track by finishing third in the 1500 with a time of 3:59.79 and third in the 3000 with a time of 9:41.95.
High School: Competed at Hertford County High School for four seasons under Scott Privott, Wallace Johnson and Ronald Gatling...Helped Hertford win the North Carolina Class 3A state championship twice in track and field...Hertford also won the 3A cross country championship in 2010...Won an individual conference championship six times...Won the North Carolina Watermelon High School 5k Festival...Was a Down Under Cross Country Championship selection for team USA.
