2014 Season: Played in 28 matches over 105 sets with 24 starts … Tallied a team-high 612 assists (5.83 per set) … Was third on the team in digs with 219 (2.09 per set) … Tallied 13 service aces and four block assists … Finished with 20 or more assists in 17 matches … Amassed 30 or more assists seven times during the season and finished with a season-high 39 assists against The Citadel on Sept. 5 … Followed the day up with a career-high three services aces over Stetson on Sept. 6 … Named to the Holiday Inn Classic all-tournament team hosted by Indiana State … Finished the tournament with 100 assists, averaging 6.67 a set … Captured her first MEAC Player of the Week honor on Oct. 13 by recording her seventh double-double of the year with 20 assists and 12 digs in a 3-0 victory over Savannah State (Oct. 12) … Added 31 assists and nine digs in a 3-0 win against S.C. High School: Martino competed at the varsity level for four years at Immaculate Conception…Finished fifth in the school’s all-time career assists list, and is seventh on the all-time service percentage…She was also an all-conference selection as a junior…She was on the High Honor Roll all four years and was a member of the National Honor Society…She was named to the Academic All-Conference team twice…Martino was also part of a highly successful club team, the Sports Performance Volleyball team…In 2011, the team earned first place at the SPVB President’s Day Challenge and first at the Alliance Spring Extravaganza...The team also placed third at the National Junior Classic and AAU National Championships…She also helped them to back-to-back ninth place finishes at the AAU National Championships in 2009 and 2010.
