The Eagles were the only team to defeat the Aggies at Corbett Sports Center this season, where they claimed a 59-50 decision on Jan. 27. A&T is coming off a brilliant performance where five players scored in double figures behind Debbie Smith’s 15 points off the bench. The Aggies’ post players performed well against the Wildcats where they helped tally 40 points in the paint. A&T shot 46.2 percent against B-CU and will have to have another consistent outing from the field over the Eagles who are seeking their fifth straight win. In their last meeting, CSU held A&T to its worst shooting performance of the season (26.9 percent).

Coppin State Overview: Coppin State advanced to the semifinals with an 82-60 win over UMES on Thursday. The Eagles have found some rhythm in their last few games as they have won four straight, a feat they haven’t accomplished all season. The Aggies will have to face first-team All-MEAC selection Kyra Coleman who leads the Eagles in scoring (17.1) and steals (70). Larrisa Carter (13.4) and Ashle Craig (12.6) round out the top scorers for Coppin State. Carter heads her team in rebounds (8.3). In their tournament win over Maryland Eastern Shore Thursday, Coleman nearly had a triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Craig and Carter added 15 points each.
