GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T freshman Kristin Shinn was named the MEAC Bowler of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Shinn (West Columbia, S.C.) is the second Aggie this season to earn the weekly accolade. She helped the Aggies to a 10-2 record at the Virginia Union University Invitational, where they finished seventh last weekend. Shinn led the Aggies with a 205.80 average in traditional games with a total pinfall of 1,029. Her average was tied for first out of a field of 70 bowlers.
Her 243 score against Bowie State marked a season high. She also scored a game-high 223 pinfall in a victory over Winston-Salem State and posted a 202 against Saint Augustine’s.
A&T will return back to the lanes beginning on Dec. 7 when it competes in the second MEAC Meet hosted by Bethune-Cookman.
