GREENSBORO – The North Carolina A&T bowling team got off to a great start at the Kutztown Invitational and is currently in fifth place out of 26 teams, following Friday’s six quad-baker games.

Twentieth-ranked A&T (32-13 overall) went 3-3 on Friday and tallied a total pinfall of 4585. The Aggies took down No. 13 Adelphi 803-762, Mount Aloysius 844-459, and Medaille 690-420.

A&T fell short 806-797 to No. 19 Long Island in its opening match. The Aggies also recorded losses against No. 5 Fairleigh Dickinson 879-765 and No. 12 Sacred Heart 693-688.

Leading the invitational is No. 7 Wisconsin-Whitewater (4911), followed by No. 8 Vanderbilt (4909), Fairleigh Dickinson (4877), and No. 2 UMES (4736) as A&T rounds out the top five.

Saturday’s action will begin at 9:30 a.m. with six traditional team games.
