GREENSBORO – The North Carolina A&T bowling team turned in a 2-3 mark in Friday’s baker games on the opening day of the Wildcat Invitational in Daytona Beach.
The Aggies (39-20 overall) are in tenth place following Friday’s competition. Leading the invitational is McKendree (5-0), No. 3 Central Missouri (4-1), Alabama State (3-2), Arkansas State (3-2), No. 18 Monmouth (3-2), Tulane (3-2), Alabama A&M (2-3), Bethune-Cookman (2-3), Morgan State (2-3), UAB (1-4), and Southern (0-5).
No. 20 A&T faced Morgan State in their first game where it took down the Bears 678-653. The Aggies biggest win came over Central Missouri in a thrilling 692-690 win. A&T averaged a 173 in the victory.
The Aggies dropped a close 719-718 decision to UAB where they averaged 179.5. A&T rolled a 203 and 219 in the third and fourth games. Monmouth defeated A&T 663-623 and Alabama A&M claimed an 815-633 win over the Aggies.
A&T will compete in five traditional team games on Saturday to wrap-up the invitational.
