GREENSBORO – The North Carolina A&T bowling team finished with a 6-2 record at the MEAC Meet Sunday afternoon in Durham.
The final conference meet was hosted by N.C. Central as the MEAC Championship will take place on March 21-23 at AMF Lanes in Chesapeake, Va.
No. 17 A&T (66-22 overall) finished with a total pinfall of 6,525. The Aggies posted the second best record at the meet behind No. 18 Norfolk State who went 7-1 over the weekend. A&T is second in the MEAC Southern Division with a 17-7 record behind NSU who leads the division with a 20-4 mark.
Both of A&T’s losses at the meet were at the hands of the Spartans as it fell 793-733 in Sunday’s baker match. The Aggies did defeat NCCU 790-644, Bethune-Cookman 746-684 and Florida A&M 710-641.
FAMU and BCU each recorded a 3-5 mark in the two-day event as NCCU went 2-6. The Aggies will compete at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn.
