GREENSBORO – Five members of the North Carolina A&T bowling team were named to the All-NationalTenpin Coaches Association honorable mention academic team.

Senior Courtney Crook, sophomore Najah Owens, along with freshmen MacKenzie Robinson, Kristin Shinn and Jorie Sineath helped make up the team which featured a total of 165 student-athletes from 35 schools.

To be honored, student-athletes had to achieve a minimum of a 3.4 grade point average during the recent academic year.

Last month, the bowling program received recognition by the NCAA for having an Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent among all Division I bowling programs, along with earning the Athletic Director’s Team Award in April for securing the highest team grade point average throughout the year.
