Breakdown:  Had a breakout season in which he earned national recognition...Head coach Rod Broadway said he was pleasantly surprised at how productive Grant was for a player his size playing linebacker...Uses his quickness and agility to make plays on the football...He is a hard worker in the weight room and has excellent strength for a player his size...He squats 490 pounds and can bench press 225 pounds 11 times...Was named the North Carolina A&T athletics department's Male Rookie of the Year.

2011 Season: Played in 11 games with 11 starts...Became just the second newcomer in school history to lead the Aggies in tackles...Made 87 tackles with 53 of those tackles being solo stops...His 10.5 tackles for loss ranked him second on the team..Ranked 11th in the conference in tackles and was tied for 18th in tackles for loss...After making 11 tackles at Appalachian State on Sept. 10, Grant earned a spot on the Jerry Rice Watch List for best Rookie in Division I FCS...Became a finalist on the list when he made 17 tackles at Norfolk State on Oct. 29...Made 3.5 of his 17 tackles against Norfolk State behind the line of scrimmage...Made six tackles and had his only interception of the season in a 42-24 win over Delaware State on Oct. 15...Grant's 28-yard interception return set up an 18-yard touchdown pass from Lewis Kindle to Larry Raper.
