Dickerson Tabbed MEAC Co-Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Junior Michael Dickson was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's co men’s track performer of the week. He posted the ninth-fastest and MEAC's top time in the 110-meter hurdles this past weekend at the Gamecock Invitational. He ran 13.75 in the preliminary round as he finished as the top collegian in the event. This is the first male POW award for the Aggies while the women have three. Aggie Invitational Preview
Aggie fans will get an opportunity to see N.C. A&T's championship track and field program up close this weekend when the Aggies host the annual Aggie Invitational April13-14 at N.C. A&T's Irwin Belk Track. The meet begins 5 p.m., Friday with the javelin and 100-meter hurdles. The field events continue with the hammer and the long jump before the finals for the 100mh, 110mh and 8-meters finals start. The day concludes with the 5000m. The triple jump starts Saturday’s events at 9 a.m. and the 4x100 relay begins at 11 a.m.
Over 40 teams ranging from NCAA programs as well as professional athletes will be represented at the Aggie Invite. The NCAA programs are Campbell, East Carolina, Guilford College, Hampton, High Point, Johnson & Wales, Johnson C. Smith, LIU Brooklyn, Livingstone, Louisburg College, Morehouse, Morris, N.C. Central, Newberry, Old Dominion, Sandhills CC, Shaw, St. Augustine’s, Tusculum, UNC Greensboro, Vorhees College, Wingate, and Winston-Salem State.
13 Seniors to Be Honored
A total of 13 Aggie seniors will be recognized Saturday at the Aggie Invitational. The women seniors are India Brown, Imani Coleman, Morgan Knight, Imani Abraham and Miranda Green. The men seniors are Corey Aiken, Aaron Deane,
