2014 Season: Played in 44 games with 43 starts… Hit. 239 and was third on the team in hits (32) … Led the Aggies in stolen bases (14-for-14)  … Recorded 18 runs, two RBI, and a double … Tallied eight multi-hit games … Posted a season-high three hits against N.C. Central on May 3 … Notched an RBI at Alabama State on Feb. 15 and at Norfolk State on March 14 … Recorded a double at Tennessee State on March 7 where she also finished with a run … Was on a seven-game hitting streak from March 30-April 6 where she tallied nine hits during that span … Was named the team’s 2014 Defensive Player of the Year.

2013 Season: Started in all 44 games as a sophomore … Led the team in runs (20) and stolen bases (nine) … Hit .177 with 20 hits in 113 at-bats … Recorded five multiple-hit games where she finished with two hits against Stony Brook on March 2, Winthrop on March 9, S.C. State on March 29, FAMU on April 6 and Savannah State on April 13 … Tabbed her only RBI of the season with a sac fly against UNC Wilmington on March 6 … Advanced runners 23 out of 53 opportunities … Hit .314 as the leadoff batter.

2012 Season: Started in all 49 appearances as a freshman…Batted .239 with four doubles, five RBI and 20 runs scored…Went 11-for-12 in stolen bases to lead the team…Went 4-for-4 with a double and a run scored on March 14 against Norfolk State…Went 2-for-2 with two runs scored on May 10 in Game 2 against N.C. Central…Also earned Scholar Athlete honors…. Named the team’s Rookie of the Year.

High School: Played at the varsity level in all four years at A.L. Brown High School…She was a three-time All-Conference athlete…She was a member of the National Technical Honor Society, and Beta Club…She was also in Link Crew, an organization that helped freshmen acclimate to high school academics…She also played varsity basketball all four years.

Personal:  Full name is Zebresha Ny’Cole Blakeney…Her parents are Tony and Tasha Lowery, and she has one brother, Ashnan…Was born on April 10, 1993 and majors in marketing…Other interests include church, shopping, watching television and playing with her brother…Is involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee…Chose to come to A&T because it was close to home and she wanted to experience an HBCU…Her favorite book is A Child Called It, her favorite television show is “Braxton Family Values” and shrimp is her favorite food… Says the best part of being an A&T student-athlete are all the people that are here to help make sure athletes graduate.
