EAST GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T men’s tennis travels to six events this fall which started over the weekend at the HBCU Fall National Tournament. 


After the HBCU tournament, head coach William Crutchfield will travel to Petersburg, Va., for the Dr. Robert Walter Johnson Invitational from Sept. 20-22. A week later, N.C. A&T plays in the Elon Invitational at Elon from Sept. 27-29 followed by the UNC Greensboro Invitational from Oct. 12-13.


The Aggies compete in the ITA Regionals hosted by Duke University and finish the fall season with the College of Charleston Invitational in Charleston, S.C., from Oct. 25-27. 

The first three matches of the 2020 spring season are on the road starting with the season opener at Duke on Jan. 18 followed by a match at Coastal Carolina (Jan. 20) and one at Presbyterian (Jan. 26) in Clinton, S.C.


N.C. A&T’s home opener occurs Feb. 2 against the College of Charleston. An extensive road trip follows with 10 straight matches away from N.C. A&T. It starts with a contest at Radford on Feb 14. The next day the men head to Davidson, N.C, to face Davidson. 


The Aggies take a trip to Tennessee next to face King University in Bristle, Tenn., on Feb. 23 before beginning a stretch where they will play three straight days. arch 1. It starts with a match at N.C. State in Raleigh on March 1 followed the next day with a match at Longwood in Farmville, Va. The third day will see the Aggies head to Gardner-Webb for a March 3 contest in Boiling Springs, N.C. 


Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play begins on March 8 for N.C. A&T with a match in Orangeburg, S.C., against S.C. State on March 8. N.C. A&T then travels to Savannah, Ga., for two conference matches against Bethune-Cookman on March 21 and Florida A&M on March 22. The Aggies return home for the final time for a match against California Riverside on March 26.


The last two regular-season matches are on the road at N.C. Central (April 3) and at Wake Forest (April 11). The MEAC Championships are April 17-19 in Norfolk, Va. 

N.C. A&T returns sophomores Vasil Ivanov and Nolan Martino, junior Jorge Goenaga and seniors Hayden Faulkenbury and Jordan Lawrence. 


Ivanov had a successful freshman season winning rookie of the year from the conference in 2019. He went 11-7 overall and 4-0 in the MEAC while Goenaga recorded five wins and Martino recorded three wins. Goenaga and Ivanov paired up to record four wins in doubles competition.
