A&T Women's Tennis For More Improvement In 2018

Greensboro (October 17, 2017) – North Carolina A&T women’s tennis released their 2018 schedule on Wednesday. It includes only five matches at the Aggie Tennis Complex, and at this date none of their conference matches are at home.

“We have a full roster this year and that will be a tremendous help in being able to achieve our goals while playing against some of the larger programs,” said Crutchfield.

The season starts on January 13 against Elon on the road. The Aggies home-opener is a week later against College of Charleston before returning home again to face Wofford on Jan. 27. They will spend the next seven weeks away from the Aggie Tennis Complex when it comes to competition.

They return home on March 22 to face Morgan State before playing UC Riverside at home on March 26. The Aggies non-conference away matches over the seven-week period are at Appalachian State (Jan. 28), at Coastal Carolina (Feb. 17), at College of Charleston (Feb. 18), at Liberty (March 3) and the Spring Break Invitational with teams to be determined (March 4-9). They will finish up the away stretch with two Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matches starting with Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M, March 10 and 11 in Savannah, Ga.

The Aggies close out the conference season by traveling to Durham to face rival North Carolina Central on March 28. The final home match will be April 5 against Campbell before heading to East Carolina for the regular-season finale on April 7.

The MEAC Men’s and Women’s Championship Tournament will be held April 25-28 with the location to be determined. During last year’s tournament, they eliminated Norfolk State in the first round for their first-ever tournament win.
