Blacksburg, Va. (March 3, 2018) – The North Carolina A&T women’s tennis team dropped to 0-7 Saturday after falling to Liberty 7-0 at Crosswhite Athletic Club.

Liberty improved to 6-5 on the season with their non-conference win over the Aggies. The most competitive match in singles play came at the No. 4 position as Nadia Hilton-Adams faced-off against Polina Miroshnichenko. Hilton-Adams battled until she came up short in the first set, 6-3.  Hilton-Adams could not find her groove in the second set as Miroshnichenko captured the win 6-0.

In the No. 5 spot, it was Renata Ruiz who had a mirrored performance in both sets. She was defeated by Evangeline Crist 6-1, 6-1.  In the No. 1 and No. 2 singles, Shelya Ramirez and Khalia Powell both fell to their opponents by a score of 6-1, 6-1.

Angelica Martinez and Kanishka Chawla continued to show their toughness as a duo, making Audrey Brown and Crist work relentlessly to capture their win. The Aggie pair were finally defeated 6-4, giving the Flames a clean sweep in doubles.
