EAST GREENSBORO (February 14, 2019) – The North Carolina A&T women’s tennis team is set to take on Charlotte on 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15 at the Halton Wagner Tennis Complex in Charlotte. The Aggies enter the contest 0-5 while the 49ers are 3-3. Senior Fabiana Ramirez and freshman Kaya Ellis each have a win in singles play for the Aggies. After coach William Crutchfield mixed up the doubles teams against Gardner-Webb, the team seems a lot stronger at doubles as they look to pick up their first doubles point of the season.
Charlotte’s roster consists of two freshmen, four sophomores, two juniors and two seniors. They are coming off a 5-2 win over Marshall at home. Western Carolina’s roster consists of two freshmen, three sophomores, two juniors and two seniors. The Catamounts are coming off their first win of the season by defeating USC Upstate, 6-1.
