GREENSBORO (November 29, 2017) – For third straight week, North Carolina A&T forward Femi Olujobi (6-foot-8, 233, JR, Long Island, NY) has been named player of the week by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Unlike the first two weeks, however, this week Olujobi had to share the honor as Hampton’s Jermaine Marrow claimed a portion of the weekly by being named co-player of the week.

Olujobi had another solid week by scoring 50 points and securing 20 rebounds in two N.C. A&T wins. On Tuesday, Nov. 21 in a 115-76 win over Mid-Atlantic Christian at Corbett Sports Center, Olujobi recorded his third double-double of the season with 27 points and 11 rebounds on 9-for-15 shooting. Five days later, Olujobi had 23 points and nine rebounds in 38 minutes of action to help the Aggies upset East Carolina 87-81 at Minges Coliseum in Greenville.  For the week, Olujobi was 18-for-20 (.900) from the free throw line.

In six games played this season, Olujobi is averaging 28.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 61.2 percent from the floor and 76.3 percent from the line. From 2-point range, he is shooting 64 percent (55-for-86). Nationally, Olujobi leads the nation in scoring, ranks second in field goals made (60), sixth in total points (170), eighth in free throw attempts (59) and ninth in free throws made (45).

He leads the MEAC in defensive rebounding (7.8 per game), free throws made and attempted, points per game and total points. He is second in the league in rebounding, minutes per game (34:30) and shooting percentage.

N.C. A&T will face Central Connecticut State 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30 at Detrick Gymnasium in New Britain, Conn. Follow N.C. A&T men’s basketball on Twitter at @ATAggieHoops. Follow Aggie Athletics on Twitter (@ncataggies) and Instagram and Facebook (@ncatathletics).
