Bowling Dominates At MEAC Meet #1
CHESAPEAKE, Va. (November 12, 2017) – North Carolina A&T took care of business in their first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference bowling meet of the season. The Aggies went 3-0 on the first day before following up that performance with a 2-1 Sunday to get off to a 5-1 start in MEAC Southern Division play.

The Aggies, ranked 18th in the nation by the National Tenpin Coaches Association, improved to 15-16 overall. The Aggies swept traditional play on Day 1, defeating Norfolk State (935-888), Bethune-Cookman (836-793) and Florida A&M (935-892).
N.C. A&T started off day two strong in Baker play with wins over Bethune-Cookman 814-755 and Florida A&M 952-939. The only loss of the meet came in the last game against Norfolk State, 932-895.
Three Aggies placed in the top-5 of the meet. Senior Brianna Boze led the Aggies with a second-place finish that included a 584 total pinfall and a 194 average. Freshmen Ana Olaya recorded a 573 total pinfall which came out to a 192 average for fourth place, while freshmen Cameron Strombeck finished fifth with a 572 total pinfall and a 191 average.
The Aggies return to action Nov. 17-19 in the Hawk Classic hosted by Maryland Eastern Shore in Millsboro, Del.
