EAST GREENSBORO -- Sophomore Ana Olaya (Bogota, Colombia) was rewarded for her performance at the second Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) meet which was held at AMF Lanes in Greensboro. Olaya was named MEAC
“Ana had one of the best weekends of her career here at A&T this past weekend,” said coach Kim Terrell-Kearney. “She was the glue that held our team together.”
Olaya, the 2018 MEAC Rookie of the Year, led the Aggies to a 7-2 record. Tuesday’s honor marks the fourth one of the season for the Aggies bowling program this season.
Olaya bowled a career-high 1,077 five-game series for a 215.4 average to take the top spot in the individual standings. She led the team to a 4-0 start on the first day. She started off last Saturday bowling a 222 against Delaware State. She then rolled her only under 200 game of the day with a 197. Her next three games were 238, 208 and 212.
