2007 AGGIE VOLLEYBALL SENIORS

#1 Kaycee Anderson, Outside Hitter, Kaysville, Utah
Came to N.C. A&T as a junior college transfer out of Sheridan Community College…Brought with her an element of maturity and playing experience…Injuries derailed her first season at N.C. A&T, but she came on during midway through the season to become an excellent passer and defender for the Aggies…Showed her versatility this season by playing the setter position during the first four matches of the season…She averaged 19.2 assists per game in that role…She is third on the team this season in digs with 2.15 per game and has become a valuable offensive threat for the N.C. A&T…She is sports science and fitness management major who recorded a 4.0 last spring semester…She is the daughter of Sharene and John Blake and is married to Loren Anderson….Ms. Kaycee Anderson.

#4 Brenden Chatman, Setter, Davenport, Iowa
Chatman’s overall contribution to the North Carolina A&T program on the court is staggering…The left-hander with the quick attack ability at the net will go down as one of the most versatile players in the history of the program, therefore, she will be hard to replace in so many ways…Against High Point University on October 29 she became the Aggies all-time assists leader…She has 4,051 career assists, becoming the only player in the programs history to exceed 4,000 assists in a career…She will also end her career with more 700 kills, 900 digs and 200 services aces, which are overall numbers only a few in NCAA history has ever accomplished… She Is a two-time second-team All-MEAC performer…She has played in 446 career games and majors in industrial engineering…She is the daughter of Melanie and Kevin Chatman…Ms. Brenden Chatman. 

#2 Krystal Cooper, Outside Hitter, Missouri City, Texas
Cooper is closing out her final season with N.C. A&T by putting together her best season as an Aggie…Her 2.92 kills and 2.86 digs per game this season are both career best…She leads the team in kills per game and is second on the team in digs per game…She has an outside shot at becoming the second player in Aggie history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career…Needs 62 more kills to accomplish the feat…She is the eighth player in Aggies history to record more than 1,000 digs in a career…Has played more games than any other Aggie on the roster with 450 games played…The four-time North Carolina A&T scholar athlete is an accounting major and is the daughter of Carol and Henderson Cooper, Jr…Ms. Krystal Cooper.

#9 Nyra Taborn, Middle Hitter, Harrisburg, Ill.
Came to N.C. A&T from Kaskaskia Junior College…Has also played on the Aggies women’s basketball team during her time at N.C. A&T…Has been a valuable middle blocker for the Aggies over the past two seasons…This season she ranks fifth in the conference with 0.86 per game…On Tuesday against Campbell, she recorded a career-high eight blocks…Has also been an offensive threat for the Aggies, averaging more than 1.0 kills per game during her career…She is the daughter of Albert and Patricia Ingram…Ms. Nyra Taborn.
