COOPER AT A GLANCE: Cooper is a veteran head coach Lyndsay Schmiedel is hoping will provide leadership on and off the floor this season…Has always been a versatile athlete with the ability to attack up front and play defense in the back row…She could get to showcase those defensive skills in 2007 by becoming the Aggies libero…She could become just the seventh Aggie to reach 1,000 digs for a career when she switches to her new position…She has 752 career digs coming into the season…Also has 646 career kills and 140 career service aces in 350 games played…Also has five career double-doubles…Is second to only Brenden Chatman on the 2007 roster in career games played …She is a three-time North Carolina A&T scholar athlete for maintaining a 3.0 or above GPA.

2006: Saw her numbers decline from her previous two seasons although she still played in 105 games, 31 matches and recorded more than 100 kills…Had one match in which she recorded double figure kills…On four different occasions she recorded double figures in digs 10 times…Averaged 1.08 kills, 1.65 digs and 0.18 service aces…Ranked second on the team in services…Ranked sixth on the team in kills and fourth on the team in digs…Had a streak of 10 straight matches in which she recorded at least seven digs…Streak ended on Sept. 26 against Charlotte when she recorded just 10 digs…Recorded three kills and 12 digs on Sept. 1 against High Point in a 3-0 loss in the High Point University Tournament…Had six kills and 11 digs in a 3-2 win over N.C. Central on Sept. 12…Recorded a season-best 11 kills, three assists and three block assist in a 3-1 win over Savannah State on Sept. 30…On Nov. 2 in front of nationally-televised audience against S.C. State, she recorded nine kills, a season-best 13 digs and a season-best .296 hitting percentage in a 3-1 win…At the 2007 MEAC Tournament, recorded eight kills and 11 digs in a 3-1 win over Bethune-Cookman at Hampton University.

2005: Played in 141 games in 40 matches with 33 starts…Recorded three double-doubles during the season…Averaged 1.77 kills and 2.25 digs per game…Ranked fourth in the MEAC in service aces, averaging 0.48 per game…Sixty-eight service ace total was the second highest in the conference behind teammate Arlene Mitchell…Also recorded 40 total blocks, including two solos…Finished with double figure kills on seven occasions...Recorded a double-double of 10 kills and 13 digs against UNC Wilmington on Sept. 2…Had 15 kills, 11 digs, 3.0 total blocks and three aces in a 3-2 loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sept. 9...Had seven kills and 14 digs in a 3-0 victory over Radford on Sept. 10..Served three aces and added 10 digs in a 3-1 victory over High Point on Sept. 13…Had five kills and three aces at Coastal Carolina on Sept. 17…Tallied five kills, five aces and 16 digs in a 3-1 loss to Gardner-Webb on Oct. 4…Posted 18 kills, nine digs and four service aces in a 3-1 win vs. Hampton on Oct. 14…Had 13 kills and eight digs in a win over Morgan State on Oct. 14 …Put down 13 kills with seven digs in a win over Coppin State on Oct. 14…Turned in a another double-double with 15 kills and 14 digs in a win over Delaware State on Oct. 15…Had 12 kills, nine digs and a season high six service aces in a win over Howard on Oct. 15.

2004: Ranked fourth in the conference in aces per game last season…Ranked second on the team in kills and digs and third on the team in attack percentage…Had a .444 attack percentage and 17 kills over three games in a 3-0 win over Howard on Oct. 17…Recorded 22 kills over five games in a match the Aggies won 3-2…Recorded 22 kills again on Nov. 5, but this time it was over four games as the Aggies defeated S.C. State 3-1…Had six aces and 12 digs over three games to help the Aggies defeat Norfolk State 3-0 on Sept. 11…Recorded 18 digs in a 3-1 loss to Elon on Oct. 27.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three varsity letters at Elkin High…A Two-Time First Team All-District Selection…During her senior season, led the Knights to the Regional Title and a #12 ranking in the state…As a junior, led the Knights to the District, Bi-District, and Area Titles…Also earned a invitation to compete in the 2004 USA Volleyball Junior Olympics.
